VRYKOLAKAS - Unleashing Vrykolakas Upon Mankind (Tape 2011)
I thought this the second full-length from this Singapore’s Vrykolakas, but available only in cassette-tape format released through Chilean record label, Atomik Nuclear Desolation Productions (2011) . Debut full studio album was “Spawned from Hellfire and Brimstone” CD 2004 (released under Vrykoblast Productions). Well, “Unleashing Vrykolakas Upon Mankind” delivers 8 tracks; 4 songs each side. They’re musically Brutal old-school Death Metal; fucking heavy in sound, unrelenting fast and dark guitar-riffs, merciless blast-beats with intensely mind-blowing growl vocals. Greatly inspired by American and European old Death Metal of 90’s, Vrykolakas reminds me alot of bands like Suffocation, Immolation and Incantation. All in all, this is an album considerable ‘masterpiece’.
