PAGANFIRE - Play Loud & Fuck The Rest! (Promo 2018)
Based in Quezon City, PAGANFIRE should be no stranger to the Philippines’ underground. They are even getting more attention in the worldwide metal scene, no doubt about it. Formed back in 2003, Paganfire managed to unleash countless demos, splits, EPs, live and compilation albums, and certainly the well-accepted full-length “Wreaking Fear and Death” (2013). What we have here is a self-released Promo CDR, entitled “Play Loud & Fuck The Rest!” which consisted of 11 songs. It is a compilation of formerly recorded tracks, I think, and some might be previously unreleashed especially those live captures (I don’t know, we have to ask the band). Paganfire delivers intense and aggressive Thrash Metal at its finest way. Some are Black/Death-fueled and few with Crust ‘n’ Roll tastes! It sounds truly cool without leaving behind the old-school Thrash essentials; fullspeed, crushingly heavy, blistering guitarworks and screeching vocals. In addition to the well-composed original songs, you should also listen to their cover on Gehennah’s Hellstorm and their homage to Sepultura; ‘Bestial Devastation’ and ‘Warriors of Death’.
