PUEBLO FANTASMA - Nanga Parbat (EP 2020)
At a glance, Argentina’s Pueblo Fantasma is typical doom-death particularly but at the same time accompanied with black/dark metal elements and interestingly, psychedelic/stone rock riffages are also smeared in their compositions. “Nanga Parbat” is the debut 3-tracks EP from the band, launched on November 14, 2020. It sounds classic to my ears, musically. Straight-forward slow-pace and mid-tempo aggressions, non-technical melodies, coupled with heavy and loud sound. At most of the time, I have felt that the vocal techniques really fit right to the structure and flow of their songs. Everything sounded pleasant, like calmness in a storm.
