WAJJAN - Vayohymn Ritualization (EP 2020)
Unholy Triangle Metal Attack!!! Wajjan is Malaysia’s Dark Death Metal forces which is originated from a state named Sarawak. Established somewhere back in 2004, the band is currently moved with Anamz Tormenthor (drums/guitars), Sahar (vocals/guitars) and Safree (bass). The line-up recently recorded debut EP entitled “Vayohymn Ritualization”, released on 3 March 2020 through local label, Eastern Voice Production. 4 songs included in the EP-CD. Musicwise, Wajjan is more inclined to Death-Thrash Metal assault with a slightly thick sound and darker nuances. The structures and flow are packed of Death/Thrash twisting riffs that invite relentless headbanging, prominent drumming as well as the murky growls that strengthening the whole release. Inclusion of mystical/ritualistic elements of Vayoh (local spiritual/ancient practice) has made the EP something epic and prolific. Great work!
